ABOUT THE ARTIST
Reminiscent of artists such as Ryan Adams, Amos Lee, and Brett Dennen, David Rosales shakes things up on his 2014 sophomore solo EP, Along the Way, with a broad sonic palate rooted in American country, folk & blues.
Along the Way, was recorded with the help of NightOwl Recorders’ producing partners, musicians and friends, Matt Grundy & Paul Clark (Donavon Frankenreiter).
The EP begins with the first single, “Too Young to Know Better.” With a serene, dream-folk vibe and a touch of country, the track swings into the EP’s uptempo and sun-soaked second single “Slice of Heaven,” featuring an infectious, fun-loving pop hook. Building momentum over the course of Along the Way‘s eclectic array of 7 seamless tracks, Rosales wraps-up the EP by showing his teeth in the gritty blues-driven third single, “Crashing Down.”
Rosales has been on a whirlwind of tour dates since the release of Along the Way on June 17th, 2014, highlighted by stops at Toronto’s NXNE Festival, Austin’s SW Regional Folk Alliance and performances with indie-folk darling, Sea Wolf, Grammy-winning Bluegrass gents, Steep Canyon Rangers, and Americana rocker, Rhett Miller/Old 97’s. Behind a national college radio campaign, Rosales was on the road throughout much of 2014 amassing over 175 performances.
